Why Whole Food Nutrition?

Most of our common health struggles, physical and psychological symptoms, immune dysfunction, and chronic diseases can be traced back to some type of nutritional deficit or excess, toxic chemical exposure, heavy metal exposure, and imbalance of our normal healthy flora (balance of good bacteria/fungus/yeast and other microbes). Rather than simply treat the resulting symptoms of "dis" ease, it is important to find the root cause, address the underlying factors, and provide the body what it needs nutritionally, so that it has the essential building blocks to enable it to function optimally.

Nutritional Supplementation

The quality of the supplements we ingest is crucial.  Synthetic vitamins, supplements, and nutraceuticals are cheap to create in a lab but lack the necessary coenzymes, cofactors, and other minerals in order for the body to properly utilize the nutrients. The body instead has to utilize it's own resources in order to absorb and use the synthetic supplement which may eventually cause deficiencies over time. It's also important to know the quality of the ingredients in the supplements and where they are sourced from to make sure there aren't any chemical contaminates, additives, heavy metals, or hormones. A few reputable whole food supplement companies include:

Standard Process

Cellcore Biosciences

Energetix

NutriDyn

Ancestral Supplements
